A band of 70 were arrested in Rhode Island as vagrants. Another mob seized a train in Ohio, but the troops brought the Gattling guns to bear upon them and the captain, with his watch in his band, gave them three minutes to retire. i?his provevi effect ual, and the train was given up There are signs that the movement is collapsing. Later. Four hundred Coxeyites have arrived and encamped in a private psirk. The police are increasing the supply of fire hose and material in anticipa tion of incendiary fires. London. April 29. The Globe, referring to the attitude of New South Wales upon the Samoan question, considers that it has created an international and colonial cornpli cation which will result in a deadlock of the first magnitude.
