Mr Svendsen's New Shop.

This building erected for, and now occupied by Mr Clementson, on the corner allotment adjoining the bootshop, has just been completed. It has a frontage o£ 18 feet to Manchester street and 48 feet Bowen street, and, although only of one story, has an elevation of nearly 20 feet from the ground line to the top of the parapet, which, combined with the neat design of the fagade-y gives it a very effective appearance. The interior of the building is also well finished, and the accommodation comprises a convenient shop 22 feet by 1G inches with ample window space for a good display ; also parlour, bedroom and kitchen, approached by *f private entrance from Bowen street. Mr G. C. Hill, 0.E., is the architect. Mr W. Watts, builder, has given every satisfaction in carrying out his contract for the erection of the building.
