The Weather.

Captain Edwin was quite corr^ot in his prognostications of yesterdiy, when he stated that we would experience gales of exceptional severity. In the early hours of this morning a gale of hurricane force, accompanied with very heavy showers, swept over this district, and it has continued very cold and gusty throughout the day. No reports of any damage having occurred are to hand.
