Meeting at Cheltenham.

A meeting was held in the Cheltenham Hotel on Saturday evening to appoint a committee to carry out the sport* to be neld at Cheltenham on Queen's Birthday, May 24th. Mr D A. Munro was voted to the chair. It was resolved that Messrs I>. Davis, Shirley. Cartwright, Evenson, 3 . Patterson, with power to add to their number, be a committee to draw up a programme, collect funds, make other preliminary arrangement?, and report at a general meeting to be held at the same place on Saturday evening next. Resolved, That this committee inter view the old sports committee and see what funds were over from the previous sports with a view to asking that committee to appropriate it to the sports on May 24th next. The following officers were elected : — President, Mr Bruce ; vice-president, Mr Jones ; treasurer, Mr Spencer ; haudicapper, Mr H. S. Munro. Mr Cartwriglit was appointed to act as secretary pro tern.
