The Medical Association

IPEB PBESB ASSOCIATION.! Wellington, April 19. At a meeting of the Wellington branch of the New Zealand Medical Association, the case of the Maori woman, who died in child-birth at Petone last week, was lonsidered. Resolutions were carried to the effect that Dr Lamb was justified in refusing to attend the woniar, seeing another medical man was available ; also, That in cases of life and death the Association considers no practitioner should refuse to assist another pr.ictitioner, whatever terms they may be on. A further resolution was carried, calling the attention of the Government that the money which used to be paid for medical relief for Natives in now in great part withheld, and asking that it be restored to its legitimate purpose.
