Mooro, a driver, it was shown bankrupt had paid j£soo to become partner in a carrying business in Wellington, but in a short time, business got bad. He sold out his share for £20. The | solicitor for debtor said the matter ought to be £ono into fully and the estate ou^lit at lenst to pay sixty shillings in tin; pound. The Oiheial Assignee said bankrupt was a \cry foolish man to sell out of the firm in the wny he had done. At first he UiougUt there had been collusion, but this had since been disproved. The meeting decided to investigate; the balance-sheet under which tlio settlement was made.
