Sydnky, This Div. McKay was shot right through the head. The two local policemen wore absent from town when the affair happened, but while returning they met the two murderers on the road riding hard At thas time they were not nware of the trngedi , ana consequently paid very little attention to the men. The firing of the shot which killed Mr McKay brought several residents to the scene of the murder, and this is believed to have caused the murderers to depart without securing any money. The men menaced several persons who attempted to prevent their departure.
