Frozen Meat Trade.
FIXING THE SALE VALUES. | Per Pbess Association.] Lokdow. April 17. At a meeting of consignees and salesmen, held for the purpose of discussing a method of supporting the values of frozen mutton, Mr Montague Wilson suggested fixing a minimum weekly selling price which salesmen should be bound to adhere to. He proposes that 2/11 per stone for prime N.Z , and 2/8 for ordraary N.Z., should be the price fixed for the currant week. The agent of the N.Z.L. &M. Coy. remarked that similar proposals in 1887 had failed for want of unanimity. The meeting adjourned until the 28rd instant, in order that others interested in the trade may be consulted.
