The Stock Market.
A. Q. Tame and O>. report as follows of the horse market : — On Saturday there was a very good entry of horses of all classes in the yards, in eluding some very good draughts. VVe offered a good number of hacks and light harness horses, including a few roally good sorts, but although bidI ding was not particularly brisk, a fair number changed hand*, at quotations. We quote heavy draughts at £20 to £25 ; medium. £13 to £28 ; aged and unsound sorts. £6 to £10 ; light harness horses and backs, £8 to £12; aged aud inferior, £4 to £6. There is still a demand for good express horses, young and sound and well broken, and up to £16 can be obtaiued for this class- We have placed this sort of horses privately during the week at £14 and £16.
