Uunkdin. April H. At a meeting at Palmerston, Mr Scobie Mackenzie wns presented with a dinnerset for Mrs Mackenzie nud a now Yost type writer for himself. Mr Mackenzie was pressed to promise that he would stand for Parliament at the next election, but he stated that he did not thiuk it would be wise for th«> district to do so.
