The colony guarantee* t)u fidelity Ol tbe administration, and CuaranteeS aISO the Integrity of the Capital Funds invested at tho option of tho Public Trustee. The Colony Guarantees also, on th« capital funds arising for investment out of tb« properties placed in the Publio Trust Office, a common rate of interest, to be paid quarterly, Free of all charges of the Public Trust Office. The value of this guarantee is in the Guarantee of the Colony against Imb from investments in bad or insufficient securities, aud against loss from delay in inTertment, and for the regular and punctual payment of the interest, free of all charges of the Public Trust Office. In the appointment of Trustees thero must always be SOrIOUS concern as to the security of the Capital funds ; and tn« larger tbe capital lunds tho greater must b« the concern for security, and the less for a high rate of interest. The Public Trustee cannot die, cannot leave the colony, cannot become disqualified, or involved in private difficulties; and cannot be distrusted. In privato trusteeships, death and abseno* render necessary numerous and expensive deeds not required by l'ublio Trustee's administration, which has, besides, the offlye solicitor's advice without expense to tM estates.
