Stock Markets.
A. G. Taiue and Co. report on their usual monthly sale at the Lower Hutt on Thursday :— Fat wethers brought 10s lOil ; lighter sorts, 9(1 ; fat ewes, 7s 6d to 8s Od ; fat lambs iv the wool, 7s Gd ; shorn do. (is ; cull breeding ewes, about 150, 4s 7d ; 200, 4s 3d ; 40, 3s. Dairy heifers, from £3 7s Gd to Mb 15s. One good line of young heifers brought £'6 7s 6d. Cows, .±'6. Kb 10s, 4:5, down to -£3 10s for aged cows. A number of very old cows were turned out unsold, there being little demand for this class of stock. Weaners, 20s to 28s, and younger sorts just weaned, 19s to 225. Store pigs — Barrows, 40s ; younger sows, 80s to 31s ; store pigs, lls 6d to 19s 6d. Horses -We offered a large number, principally light harness and Lacks, the majority oi which were not sold. A useful trap gelding brought .£l2 ; inferior hacks, £4 to Jt'6. The usual fortnightly sale of cattle, horses and sheep was held on Thursday, at Master ton, by Messrs Lowes and Irons, who report as follow : - The yards were again well filled. The sale, we regret to say, was dull throughout, and we cannot report any improvement in prices which remain at about previous quotations in both sheep and cattle, and are in favour of buyers.
