David Cristie Murray, the well-known novelist, gaye evidence before the Court to. day that bis wife was a drunkard, and had attempted to commit suicide, and he aeked that ehe should be confined in a lunatic asylum for treatment. Tn the course of crosa examination, Murray ad mitted that he had bad immoral relations with a young lady residing at Kensington. The Bench adrised the parties to settle the dispute amicably, and adjourned the case to allow this being done.
