Volunteer News.
♦ A meeting of the Shooting Committee of tho Manchester Rifles was held at Mrs Hastie's Hotel last evening. Present — Lieut Bray (in the chair), Sergts Saywell and Aitken, and Yol Card (secretary). On the motion of Lieut Bray, seconded by Sergt Aitken, it was resolved that those members of the corps who have joined since the nominations for the bracelet closed bo allowed to compete for the same. Tho Secretary was instructed to write and try arrange for a match with the Marton Royal Rifles for Wednesday, the 18th or 25th of April. The handicaps for the bracelet competition were received, and the meeting terminated with the customary vote of thanks to the chairman. The Manchester Rifles will parade for Government inspection on Thursday next. The following arc the handicaps for the first competition, to be fired tomorrow, for the ladies' bracelet : - Lieut Bray scratch. Sergt Say well „ Sergt Aitken „ PrvtG.
