A.J.C. MEETING. (PEB PRESS ASSOCIATION.) Stdnky, M'trcli 31 The Australian Jockey Club's Autumn Meeting was continued to-day. The weather, though unfavorable in the early morning, cleared fine by noon, and continued so throughout the da}'. The course was in capital condition. Following are the results of the racing : — Rous Handicap, one mile and three furlongs— Trenchant 1, Projectile 2, The Sailor Prince 3. Won easily. Time, 2 mm 36sec. Place Handicap, one mile and a half -Oxide 1, The Trier 2, Donation 3. Eleven started. Oxide led the greater part of the journey, and won comfortably by half a length. Loyalty was fifth. Time, 2min 39sec. Second Steeplechase — Helios 1, Inkerman 2, Castlebar 3. Second Nursery Handicap, six fur-lougs---Collarette, by Castor-Necklace, 1, Perseus 2. Seventeen started. Won by a length- Time, latin 16jsec. A.J.C. Plate, three miles Light Artillery 1, Portsea 2, Carnage 3. Titan, The Sailor Prince and Projectile also started. For the first two rounds the race was a more procession, with Light Artillery leading. Portsea made a gallant effort to get up, but failed, and Light Artillery beat him by a length. Time, smin 43sec.
