The Feilding Fire Brigade will meet in the engine shed this evening at 7.30. An account of the Easter Encampment, written by ''Rotoinahana," will be published to-morrow. J. Scott, that the public examination of James C. Moroy, of Feilding, draper, a bankrupt, has been fixed to be held in the Courthouse, Palmevston North, on Friday, the 6th April, 1894, at 10 o'clock in the forenoon. In a communication to Mr Fred Pirani, M.H.R., the Postmaster- General states that he is making arrangements to establish a separate Post and Telephone Office at Ashurst. Owing to the high price asked for land there, it has been decided to rent a building for the present, instead of erecting an office. The entries at Messrs Gorton and Son's Feilding stock sale to-day were so large that some of the sheep and cattle had to be put in Mr C. Carr's yards. Prior to the sale, Colonel Gorton remarked there were 4000 sheep yarded more than were advertised, and thought it would be more satisfactory to all parties if vendors would give him more notice when sending stock to the sales. Over 10,000 sheep and several hundred head of cattle were submitted to auction this afternoon. A full report will be published in a future issue.
