A Narrow Escape.
[PEE PBfcSS ASSOCIATION.] Dunedin, This Day. A narrow escape from a serious firo at Palmerston South is reported. Mrs Bond, licensee of the Empire Hotel, found a bedroom in flames at 12.30 a.m., and the occupants of one of the rooms unconscious. But for her prompt action life would probably have been sacrificed.
