_Land^ Sale. ] The attention of those who are anxious to secure a home in a country district that is "rapidly forging ahead, is directed to the sale on Friday next by Messrs Abraham and Williams, of * Mr E. Hopkins' property at Pohan- 8 gina. This estate, which comprises ' some of the best land in the above c thriving district, has been subdivided j ! into small areas suitable for dairy j farming, etc., and to the man with sufficient capital to make an investment and the necessary energy and perseverance, exceptional opportunities are afforded of establishing himself in an independent position in a few short years. We must not omit to mention that the land, besides being securely fenced and laid down in the best English grasses, is well-watered in every part. A boxed-in well can be sunk on the property for the small sum of 30s, water being obtainable four feet from the surface. It should be borne in mind by intending purchasers that the whole of this property is centrally situated in the Pohangina, abutting the river and main road, and only fcix miles from the Ashurst railway station by a good metalled roid. On the property is erected a hotel and store, blacksmith's and butcher's shops, and last but not least the crean>ery, which being nowthoroughly established should enhance the value of the land Every facility is ulforded in the matter of the education of the young, the Government school beinc? within half a niilo on the same side of the river, und in charge of a gentleman whose abilities an a teacher cannot be over estimated and too highly spoken of. It is seldom working men are favored with opportunities like the present of acquiring properties, which from their central position und the undeniable quality of the soil, should give purchasers an unusually good start in life, an 'l within a reasonable time be the means of placing them in an hide pendent position. The attraction is g eat, and we expect to see keen competition for the sections on Friday next.
