«_ . Messrs Lowes and loras report— At our sale at Masterton on the Bth insff,, the attendance was the maximum of the season. The yards were well filled, and 15,000 sheep changed hands under the hammer ; prices were as usual in favor of buyers. The following prices were obtained: — Fat and forward wethers, 8s 9d to 9s 6d ; store wethers, 7s 6d to 8s 6d ; mutton ewes, 7s to 8s ; store ewes, fresh, 6s to 7s 3d ; breeding ewes, 4s to 7s. 6.d- culls, 2s to 3s 9d ; lambs, 3s to 6s ; culls, Is 9d to 2s 6d ; Romney rams, Ito 2h guineas; Lincolns, 2-tooth, 2\ to 3 guineas ; old rams, £ to l£ guineas ; Border Leicester, 5 guineas"; Downs, \to 1£ guineas. Cattle were a little easier, the demand less active. The tone o£ the sale was livelier, l§een interest being displayed throughout, but prices were well in favour of buyers. i ■
