The 5 first charge was of stealing two sheep belonging to Jas. Bennett. Sir B. ; Stout contended the case should have L been brought on at the civil sittings, 1 as S. Bennett had missed some of his flock and had not the ewe in question in his possession for a year. The jury returned a verdict of guilty and accused was sentenced to two year's hard
