The Public Trust Office, constituted by "The. Public Trust Ofpco Act, 1&72," has been BJnco much enlarged in Us fucvecious by aKi<JU<2(ug Acts, to mc-et growing requirements. Tho Amendment A*;t of 1891 facilitates administration, authorises prompt distribution, provides absolute security against loss tp estates from investments at tho discretion of tho Public Trustee, and insures the regular payment of the interest. The Security and Fidelity of the Fab. lie Trustee's administration must be considered of tho utmost importance to every person contemplating the appointment of a trustee. The colony guarantees the fidelity of the administration, and Guarantees also the Integrity of the Capital Funds . invested at the option of the Public" Trustee. The Colony Guarantees also, ou the i capital funds arising for investment out of the I properties placed in the Public Trußt Ofllce, ft I com nion rato of interest, to bo paid quarterly, Free of all charges of the Public Trust Office. The value of this guarantee is in the Guarantee of the Colony against loes from investments in bad or Insufficient securities, and against loss from delay in investment, nnd for tho regular and punctual pftymontof tho interest, free o/ all charges of the Public Trust Office. In the appointment of - Trustoos there must always bo SeriOUS concern as to the security of the capital funds; and the larger tho capital funds tho greater must be the concorn for eocurity, and tho less for a high rato of interest. Tho Public Trustee cannot die, cannot loavo tho colony, cannot become onqualified, or involved in private difficulties ; and cannot be distrusted. In private trusteeships, death and absence rondor necessary numerous and expeusire doods not roquired by Public Trustee's administration, which has, besides, tho offle* solicitor's advice without expense to tfce estates.
