Pohangina Notes.

[FROM OV& OWN COBBBSPONDRKT-3 The timber on the 1000 acre totara reserve is to be offered for sale in two lots this month. I hear there will be a brisk competition, as it is a splendid bosh. The men who have lately been making the road through the. reserve tell me that a very large proportion of the trees they cut down were sound and clear. * Messrs Rimmer and Craven are to build a house for Mr A. Porter, on some property he has recently bought in the Wanganui Harbor Board Block. Mr Selby has already sown his grass seed. Many farmers think it too soon, but the recent showers will give it a "~ good start which will enable it to resist any future dry time.
