MELnorBNE. February 21 At the V.A.T.C. meetiug to-day, the principal events resuitcd as follows:— Oakleigh Plate— Moorite 1, Hova 2, Wellington 3. Won by a short head. Oakleigh Purse — Outcast 1, Bnugcbung 2, Nobody 8. Wou by three lengths. D.J.C. SPRING MEETING. DcNedin. February 24 The weather for the third day of the D.J.C. Autumn meeting was very disagreeable. Raiu fell during the night, and all the morning. The course was greasy and the surroundings sloppy. The at'eudance was very good, and the sum of .£7799 put through the machine, making a total for the meeting of £24,---475, beiug 1*226 more than last year. Results : — Hopeful Stakes — Vanilla 1, Aldershot 2, Mount Royal 3. Dividend, £5 14s. Forbury Handicap — Au Revoir and Bcadonwell ran a dead heat ; Dilemma 3. Entering the straight Beadonwell came with a rush aud just caught Au Revoir on the post. Dividends, Au Revoir £4 ss, Beadonwell £3 11s. The owners agreed to divide.
