Messrs Lowes and lorns report : — At our regulav stock sale at Masterton last Wednesday the attendance w;is much the largest of the season. The demand for horses was very yoor. Unbroken, well-bred hacks, £8 to £10 ; broken-in hacks, £15; draughts, no sale. Pigs, weaners, 5s to 8s ; slips, 10s 6d to 17s. The Egniont Farmers' Union, Limited, Hawera, report as follows : — At Stratford on Friday 16th inst.— Steers, 12 to 18 months. i~2 to £2 14s ; weaners, £1 to £1 6s ; cows ami heifers iv calf, £'d 3s to £4 7s ; 12 to 18-month heifers, £2 to itl 4s. We held our rani fair in the Horse Bazaar on Tuesday the 20th inst.
