An Important Case.
Cpkh pbsss association!. Auckland, February 21. In the case Reid v. MeCorquodale, His Honor held that the transfer is liable to stamp duty, although the Company is registered out of New Zealand. The effect of the judgment is that all transfers dealing with shares in New Zealand, although the companies may be out of the Colony, are subject to the Stamp Act of 1882.
