Terrible Deed of a Desperado.
(PEB PBKSB ASSOCIATION.} Washington, February 21. A desperado named Mitchell was about to he arrested iv a crowded waitiug-room at the Houston railway station, Texas, when he opened tire on the constable. Shots were exchanged, until the constable and two spectators were killed, three others being mortally wounded. The crowd, furious at the unnecessary bloodshed, nearly lynched Mitchell.
