Liberal Association.

[pee press association.] Chkistcqulch, Feb. 20. A public meeting, convened by the Progressive Liberal Association to consider the question of old age pensions, was held to-night and well attended. Addresses were given by Hon. W. P. Reeves, W. W. Collins, J. J. Smith, J. Joyce, D. Buddo, and G. W. Russfcll, M'H.R's. A motion was carried that the meeting was of opinion that the question of old age pen-ions is worthy of attention of the Government, and requests that it be enquired into and reported upon by a Commission in time for consideration at the approaching session of Parliament. The matter of the present system of administration of charitable aid was referred to a committee of the Association to consider and bring up a report at another meeting.
