The situation was perilous, but those on board were at length rescued by a steamer. Pabis. February 19. A forger, standing in the dock of a Buffalo Court, suddenly drew a pistol, ordered those present to throw their hands up, and escaped, locking the door behind him. It is believed that the weapon was secretly banded to him by an accomplice.
