The Athletic Meeting.
(FEB PBESS ASSOCIATION.) Dunedin, February 17. The fifth annual Championship meeting of tbe New Zealand Amateur Association came off to-day. The attendance was good, about 3000 being present. Tlie competition for tbe banner for most points resulted in "Wellington winning easily with 52 points, Dunedin being next Vith 537, Canterbury 23, Auckland 18. Results:— Throwing Hammer -O. McCormick, Welliugtou. 100 yds — J. Hemptou, Wellington. Half-mile — W. Low, Dunedin. 120 yds Hurdles — H. Batger, Wellington. One mile Walk — A. Bain, Dunedin. One mile Flat— C. Morpeth, Wellington. 250yds— H. M. Reeves, Canterbury. High Jump — H. S. Bailey, Wellington. Three-mile Walk F. Crewes, Auckland. Long Jump — W. Meudelshou, Canterbury. Quartermile— W. Low, Dunedin.
