A rich gold reef has been found at Corryoug iv the northern portion of the colony, near the Murray river. In one claim au ouuee per dish is being obtaiued. The Minister of Railways replying to a deputation, said he was sorry that it would bu necessary to discharge a large u umber of men itt the workshops before the winter, aud he expected tho Port Melbourne shops would have to be abolished altogether.
