The Licensing Elections.
NO DATE YET FIXED. (PEE FIIESS ASSOCIATION.) Wellington, This Day. No late has been fixed for the Licensing elections yet, the Act, apparently, leaving it to tlie Returning Officers to appoint auy day they choose iv March. It is understood some of them are thinking of fixing March first in order that the new committee may take the regular quarterly business. It is stated, however, the Government are averse from this and the bulk, at any rate, of the elections will probably be after the fifteenth of March.
