Disappointed Emigrants.
« (PER PttKSS ASSOCIAION.} Wellington, February 5. The Hauroto, which arrived from Sydney to-night, brought 137 passengers for all ports, 74 of the number being iv the steerage. This is the vessel's fidl complement of passengers. The Cus- , toms officers in Sydney are strictly enforcing the provisions of the Imperial ; Passengers Act, and refused to allow the Hauroto, in common with other New ' Zealand traders, to exceed her com- \ plemeut. A large number of people who wished to come to New Zealand in the ( Hauroto were disappointed in obtaining \ passages by her.
