The Loss of the Kanahooka.
(PER PRESB ASSOCIATION). Brisbane, February 4. News has been received of Captain Campbell aud party, who landed in a boat after the steamer Kanahooka foundered in the Gulf of Carpentaria. They journeyed a considerable distance along the coast, swimming the rivers and creeks. Mr Felton the engineer, died from exposure.* Captain Campbell was drowned in crossing the Nassau river. The other two, a fireman and the cook, were picked up by a stockman and taken to Mentina station. The steamers not having returned, the fate of the boat in charge of the mate of the steamer is still iv mystery. This Day. One of the search steamers has returned to Norman ton without any tidings as to the missing boat belonging to the Kanahooka which foundered in the Golf of Carpentaria.
