Tho Amendment Act of 1891 facilitates administration, authorises jromjit distribution, provides absolute security against loss to estates from investments at the discretion of the, J'ublic Trustee, ana insures the regular payment of tlio interest. Tho Security and Fidelity of the Publie Trustee's administration must be conHidered of tho utmost importance to every person contemplating th<j appointment of a trustee. The colony ijuar.inteea the fidelity of tho administration, and Guarantees also the Integrity of the Capital Funds invested iu tho option ot the Public Trustee. Tho Colony Guarantees also, on the capital funds arising for investment out of the properties placed iu the I'ublic Trust Oflice. a common lute of interest, to bo paid quarterly, Free of all charges of the Public Trust Office. The value, of this guarantee ia in the Guarantee of the Colony against lobb from investments in bail or Insufficient securities, and against loss from delay in investment, and for the regular and punctual p&ymeiit of tho interest, free of all charges of tti« I'ublic Trust Office. In the appointment of Trustees there must always be SOrioUS concern as to th« security of th« capital funds; and the larger the capital funds the greater must be the concern for security, and the less for a hif,'h rate of interest. Tho Public Trustee cannot die, cannot leave tho colony, cajinot become dieijualilled, or involved in private dillicultiea; and cannot be distrusted. In private trusteeships, death and absence render necessary numerous and exponsir* deeds not, required by Public Trustee's adniiiiist ration, which hus, besides, tho office solicitor's advice without expenso to tb« estates.
