Stock Markets.

Messrs Gorton and Son's report— Our yards at Sanson and Feilding were well tilled more particularly with sheep, though we disposed of a good deal of stock. At both sales the prices were in favour of the buyers. Our quotations are: — Cattle. Sanson— 3-year steers, £4 15s; yearling steers, £2 3s ; springing heifers, £4 10s ; weaners and yearlings, 32s 6d. Feilding— 3-year steers, £4 7s; 18---mouth steers, £2 14s ; 18-month mixed, £2 11s ; fat heifers, £4 19s ; weaners, 21s to 25s 6d. Sheep. Sansou— 2-tooth ewes, 8s to 9s ; 2tooth mixed, 8s ; 2-tooth wethers, 7s 3d to Bs. Feilding — 2-tooth ewes, 8s 8d ; 2-tooth wethers, 7s 9d to 8s 7d ; 4 and 6-tooth ewes, 8s 2d ; lambs, 3s 9d to 5s 6d. Mr R. E. Beckett reports :— During the past week I have held four sales — viz., at Mingiroa, Halcombe, Mar toil, and Makino, sale of surplus stock for Mr Milner, all of which have been more or less successful. I quote : — At Halcombe — Weavers, 11 14s ; stetjrs, £2 11s to £8 6s; milk cows, £5 10s to £6. Sheep — Woolly lambs, good, 6s (>d ; inferior, 4s ; 4 and 6-tooth ewes, 7s to 8s 9d ; 2-tooth wethers, 7s to 8s t)d. At Marton— Weaners, 25s ; steers, 12 to 18-month, £2 16s ; steers, 2 £-years, £3 16s, £8 17s 6d, £4 Is and £5 ; fat heifers, £3 f>s to £S 19s 6d ; light beef, £5 ; heifers, £2 13s 6d. Sheep— 2-tooth wethers, 8s to 8s 4d ; 4-tooth ewes, 9s 6d ' fat wethers, 10s. At Makino— Steers, £2 15s to £3 ss ; weaners, 29.-S ; cows, dry, £3. Sheep— 2-tooth ewes, 7s 9d to 10s ; 2-tooth wethers, 7s 6d ; 6-tooth to full-mouth ewes, 6s 3d ; culls, 5s ; shorn lambs, 2s ttd. _^___^
