I Per Press Association, j Sydney, This Day. The Port Darwin telegraph is inter rupted. The West Australian lines were also interrupted at the same time, the cause being attributed to a hurricane in the north-west. The Cabinet has not yet nrrived at a final decision with regard to Mr Copeland's resignation. The Joint Stock Bank shows a profit for the half year of £51,000. A dividend of 5 per cent, has been declared, while £22,000 has been placed to the reserve fund, and £5,000 carried forward. As a result of his visit, .Mr Stroeter, a well known London diamond merchant, says the Bingara district is rich in diamonds, but the stones are unfortunately too small to be of any commercial value. Perth, This Day. It is now known that twenty seven lives were lost in North West district during the recent hurricane.
