[PEB FBESS ASSOCIATION.] Reefton, January 11. A man uained Thomas Roberts, lately employed in the Globe mine, was missed from his lodgings in Upper Broadway this morning. His body was found this afternoon in a deep hole in the Inangahua river, under the lleefton cart bridge. Auckland, This Day. A married woman named Ellen Hill, thirty-nine years of age, was found drowned in St. John's Lake, Ellerslie. It is supposed to be a case of suicide. The deceased was recently in the Asylum. She left her home yesterday evening and was found, after a long search, by her husband and friends in the lake. Her detention in the Asylum was on account of insanity brought about by grief at the death of a daughter. Pahiatua, This Day, Tin's morning the dead body of a man was found lying on its back in twelve inches of water in a creek in the centre of the town. The body was dressed in tweed trousers, boots, shirt, and an undershirt. There was a cut over the left eye, and another near the mouth. The deceased's watch and other belongings were picked up on the road near where the body was found. The deceased jis a stranger and unknown but was seen yesterday with a swag which he said was valuable. He appeared strange in his manner and complained of having been robbed of a diamond ring.
