Messrs F. R. Jackson and Co.s Wanganui stock report :— Cattle. —At Waverley— Cows and calves, £\ l>s ; fat cows, i' 4; stores, £3 15s ; steers, £d 10s. At St. Hill street - 1 at bullocks (small), £5 15s to £6 7s ; forward bullocks, £5 ss; good steers, M Us to £4 14s ; 2-year olds, £8 10s to £8 12s ; young ones, £2 15s ; cows, £8 7s 6d to M ss; heifers, £S; yearlings, £2 18s. Sheep.— At Waverley we sold hoggets at 7s 8d ; woolley lambs, 5s 6d. At Wanganui -Fat wethers, 9s lOd to 10s 7d ; ewes, 8s 7d to 9s ; store wethers, 7s 6d to 8s Hd ; old ewes, 3s 3d to 5s ; 4 and 6-tooth ewes, 7s 6d ; culled lambs, 3s. Pigs. — Baconers, 31s to 50s; large porkers, 20s 3d to 27s 6d ; good stores, 15s 9d to 17s 3d ; small pigs, 10s to l'is. Horses. — Our fair was well attended. We sold about half of the total number entered. Draughts, £16 to .£2O 10s ; good hacks, £10 to i'lss ; light harness horses, .£l4 to A'l6 ; ordinary hacks, I'H to £9\ unbroken, £1 to 4:10; inferior horses, £4 11s to £6.
