The Case of the Rev. S.J. Neill.

(PBR PKESS ASSOCIATION ) Auckland, This Day At a meeting of the Auckland Presbytery last night, iresh trouble came up in connection with the case of the Rev. S. J. Neill. On the motion of the Rev. R F. Macnicol, the fol lowing resolution was carried, after much discussion :— (1) That the Rev. S. J. Neill be cited to appear at the Assembly in support of his own interest; (2) that the clerk be appointed to state a reference to the Assembly. The members of the Board of Managers of St. James' Presbyterian Church, Thames, sent a lengthy protest appealing against the actions and ruling of the Rev. S. J. Neill, in the capacity as chairman of the Board. Mr Neill's reply was also submitted. Both documents were received and referred for consideration to the next meeting of the Presbytery.
