THE FATE OF THE WILSON COLUMN. (PER I'ItESS ASSOCIATION). Capetown, January 1. Conflicting reports have been received as to the fate of Captain Wilson. The natives allege that he and his detachment were cut to pieces while gallantly fighting against heavy odds. The natives are emphatic that a portion of Wilson's attach .nent es* caped in the direction of the Hartley Hills. The latest advices confirm Wilson's safoty, but it is believed several days will elapse before he oan reach the telegraph line.
