RANGITIKEI RACES.
The first day's racing of the Kangitikei Racing Club eventuated yesterday. The number of starters was small, the best race being ten in the Hack Eace. The Eangitikei Cup resulted in a splendid race between Monte Carlo and Rangipuhi. Following are the results : — Grandstand Handicap—King John, 1; Variety, 2; Kalmea, 3. Dividend £5 18s. Handicap Hurdles - Caloola, 1; Unity, 2 ; Oaklands, 3. Dividend MB 3s. Hack Hurdles—Waituna, 1; Tupato, 2 ; Respond, 3. Dividend £1 11s. RangitikeiCup - Monte Carlo, 1; Rangipuhi, 2; Pill, 3. Dividend £2 ss. Six started. Hack Hace —Eothen, 1; Kai Iwi Lady, 2 ; Cyrus, 3. Dividend Ml 7s. Stewards Stakes —King John, 1; Kalmea, '.I. These were the only starters. Dividend £1 7k. Flying—King Harry, 1; Poinsettia, 2; Variety, 3. These were the only starters. Dividend £'6 ss. [Our tip3ter," Sport," was very successful in his forecast of the first day's races of the Rangitikei Racing Club, he having tipped the winner of the Cup and both hurdle raoes.J
