THE Public Trust Office of New Zealand Is a Government institution to afford, at low rates Of commission, a secure and convenient recourse for tboso who, desirous of forming trusts in tho colony, cannot satisfactorily appoiut private trustoes or executors, and lot persons unable or unwilling to undertake or continue tbe administration of tbe trusts aocopted by or imposed upon them. The Amendment Act of 1891 facilitates administration, authorises prompt distribution, provides absolute security against loss to estates from investments at the discretion of the I'ubJic Trustee, aud insures tho regular payment of the interest. The Security and Fidelity of the Public Trustee's administration must be considered ot the utmost importance to every person contemplating the appointment of a trustee. Tho colony guaranteet the fidelity ot the administration, aud Guarantees also the Integrity of the Capital Funds invested at the option of the Public Truatoo. Tho Colony Guarantees also, on the capital funds arising for investment out of tho properties placed in tbe Public Trust Office, a common rate of interest, to be paid quarterly, Free of all charges of the Public Trust Office. The value of this guarantee is in the Guarantee of the Colony against lorn from investments in bad or insufficient securities, and against loss from delay in investment, and for tho regular and punotual paymout of the intorest, free of all charge* oftnt Public Trust Office. In the appointment of Trustees there must always be serious conoern as to the security of the capital funds; and tbe larger the capital funds tbe greater must be the concern ior socurity, and the less for a high rate of interest Tbe Public Trustee cannot die, canuot leave tho colony, cannot become disqualified, or involved in private diffloultiee; aud cannot be distrusted.
