The Wool Market.
The local manager of the New Zoalaud Land Association, Limited (Mr John Stevenson), reports as follows :— London.— The wool sales closed on the loth met. Compared with prices ruling at previous series Menuo sorts are £d per . lb lower, and crossbreds i<i higher. Australia.— The sales are continuing. At Sydney the New Zealand Land Association's 10th catalogue comprised 3500 bales, and 11th catalogue at Melbourne 8143 bates. Prices remain firm at full rates. For greasy, the highest prices realised was Is Id for a lot of lambs ; scoured, Is 2£d; and fleece, li£d. CHBIBTOHURCH,— The second sale of the series wai held on the loth inst. Competition was spirited as compared with last sales. Merino wool is £d to Id dearer, and long wools, par Jd advance. Auckland.— The first sale of the series was held on the 13th mat., when there was a good attendance of foreign aud colonial buyers. Half-breds made up to BJd ; fine crossbreds up to B|d ; and medium crosabie h up to 7£d. i Wellington.— Our next sale ot Wei- j lmgton takes place on the 29k inst., when a lar^e catalogue will bo submitted.
