In the Supreme Court to«daj, Newton King, of New Plymouth, brought an action against the New Zealand Shipping Company, claiming £170 damages, for loss alleged to have been incurred through defendants shutting out from one of their steamers 253 kegs of butter, contrary to the contract arranged with plaintiffs agent. During the afternoou it was mutually arranged that a verdict be entered up for plaintiff for £50 and Lls 15s costs.
