The Amendment Act of 1691 facilitates administration, authorises prompt distribution, provides absolute security against loss to estates from investments at the discretion of the Public Trustee, and insures the regular payment of tho interest. The Security and Fidelity of the Pub. Ho Trustee's administration must be considered of the utmost importance to evory person contemplating the appointment of a trustee. Tho colony guarantees thefuulWu of the administration, and Guarantees also the Integrity of the Capital Funds invested at the option of tho Publio Trustee. The Colony Guarantees also, on the capital funds arising for investment out of the properties placed in the Publio Trust Office. • common rate of interest, to be paid quarterly, Free of all charges of the Public Trust Office. The value of this guarantee ia in the Guarantee of the Colony against loss from investments in bad or insufficient securities, and against loss from delay in inveßtr jweut, and Tor tho regular, a»a punctual payineut of the interest, free of all charges of the Public Trust Office. In the appointment oi Trustees there must always be serlOUS concern as to the security of the capital funds: and the larger the capital funas the greater must be the concern for security, and the less for a high rate of intorest. The Public Trustee cannot die, canuot leave tho colony, cannot become disqualified, or involved in private difficulties, i and cannot be distrusted. In private trusteeships, death and absence render necessary numerons and expenslw deedß not required by Public Trustee's administration, which has, besides, the offl«« solicitor's advice without expense to th« , estates.
