(PEB PBEBB ASSOCIATION.) CHBIBTOHTTSOH, DeO. 13. W. Rice, thirty Years of age, died sadden! y last night while in an epileptic fit. The body of John. MoKeazie, one of the terpedo men drowned in Lyttelton Harbour on November 28. was recovered this morning near the scene of the fatality. Auckland, December 13. Hito'aens, of " blood restorer " fame, had a narrow escape of poisoning by chloral, which be had taken to induce deep. He was found unconscious, and three doctors, after win* stomach pumps, walking him about, using an electric battery, Ac, for an hour and a half, re. stored; him to consciousness. He is now fully recovered. Wellington, December 13.. Government have decided to increase the number of Native Land Court Judges by two. No appointments have yet been made, and the districts to which thej shall be allotted is a departmental affair. In addition to 3191 names strnok off the City roll, the suburbs roll will be purged of 1050 names. The Minister of Education left for Ljttelton t>.day. The Bills mentioned as haring been considered in the Cabinet will be circulated before tut opening of Parliament.
