London Butter Markets.
! Messrs Barraud and Abraham received from their London agents, Messrs B. T. Turnbull and Co., by the . last 'Frisco mail, the following report : The market which remained dull during the first fortnight of October has improved within the last two weeks. There have been 11,805 packages of Australian butter received up to date. The "Arcadia" landed 3,513 boxes, and the "Orotava " 5,460 boxes, of Australian last week, which, being of fine quality and in good condition, were rapidly disposed of at li2s to 120s. From New Zealand 2,691 boxes arrived, but as they were mostly "seconds" and inferior, the highest prices got were 100s to 108s. The ruling rates are: — Normandy, 108s to 126s per cwt ; Danish, 120s to 134s per cwt ; Friesland, 118s to 124s per cwt; Australian, 112s to 120s per cwt ; New Zealand, good to fine, 90s to 108s, with medium and inferior 70s to 84 per cwt.
