Colyton Notes.

Trade in Coly ton must be very brisk, for there 13 a perfect deluge of new buildings. One of the most striking of these recent arrivals is the Primitive Methodist Church. This building is at present in its most picturesque condition; resembling the ruins of a cathedral. Its walls are up, and tbe windows are in, but nothing more. Judging from what can be now seen, the church, when mushed, will be both handsome and convenient. The main building is 80 by 20ft, and the studs are 12 feet (surmounted by a roof rising 10 feet. Tbe windows, eight in number, aro Gothic in style, and in front of tbe chief Ibuilding is a small porch. There will bo 10 seats, so the accommodation should be ample. Mr E, Heald is the builder, and he expects to finish shortly after Christmas. We must congratulate our Colyton friends on their wise enterprise ; and when we remember that but a short time back there was neithor ball, hotel, nor churoh there, we do with confidence predict a sure and swift prosperity for Colyton. The Colyton school children are busy preparing for their concert. Some very taking action-songß will be presented by the infants, while the upper classes have prepared choruses and solos. This will, we understand, be the first concert given in Colyton, so a bumper house should greet the obildren on the 21st instant.
