Stock Markets.
Messrs Abraham and Williams report on Saturdays sale, at Palmerston, as follows:— A moderate number of horses came forward. Bidding was dull and business of rather a limited nature. Medium backs, L 5 to L 8 ; better sorts, LlO to Lls ; harness horses up to L 9 15s ; a pair of buggy horses L2O; screws and weeds, LI 2s tid to L 3. Cunningham, Badham and Co.'s Wellington weekly horse salo report : — Our catalogue on Saturday numbered 28 horses, and was a very varied one, com* prising from draughts down to very inferior animals. The consignment which came from Messrs Hocken Bros., of Feilding, weie as usual of & very good stamp, and were all sold excepting two. Taking the sale as a whole, it was somewhat dull, and bidding sUok, and a number of the animals had to be passed in. Many of these were, however, sold privately after the sale. For draughts there is little or no demand. For up* standing light harness horses, the demand is easing off. Those of this class sold to-day at from Lls to Ll6 ; lighter descriptions made from L 8 to Llo los, and lower grades down to almost any price. ___
