An Interesting Point.

At the Pohangioa Eoad Board meeting on Saturday, Warden J. Ot. Browne brought up the question of the liability of the Wanganni Harbor Board to contribute thirds from the proceeds ot land sold in the Harbor Board Block, towards the construction of roads in the district. Mr Browne urged his point with considerable ability and pretty clearly demonstrated that he had good grounds for his faith, although it is not quite clear whether it is tbe Harbor Board or the Government which is responsible. A great blunder has undoubtedly been committed in allowing the matter to remain unsettled up to the present time and we hope the endeavor of the Pohangma Board to get justice meted out to them will prove satisfactory.— Standard.
